Cotton Thread 12 spools x 50yds Vintage Italian MONA LISA Box LOTS of Shades

I found lots of these vintage boxes of SPAGNOLETTA GIOCONDA spools of cotton in an old Haberdashery Warehouse that I cleared.

They are Italian - hence the Mona Lisa !

In each box there are 12 spools - each 50 yds long and with "maximum strength and elasticity

On the cellophane wrapper on each spool is printed, in Italian :

MERCERISED SUPER COMBED AND GASSED THREAD

To see which number is which colour - click on the number - the corresponding colour will appear at the top of the list of pictures.

Some of the boxes are grubby, faded or a bit bashed from long years of storage.
